Summer and Winter in Morzine




Morzine is situated in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area which covers 13 resorts in France and Switzerland. There are 228 lifts and 650km of pistes in the area connecting Morzine to Les Gets, Chatel and Avoriaz in France and Les Crosets, Champoussins and Morgins in Switzerland


The chalet is a two minutes walk from the ski bus stop. A free bus service operates regularly to the lift at Ardent and to Morzine.


ESF, the ski and snowboard school, have offices in Morzine and Montriond and lessons can be booked there. Lift passes are available from the lift pass office in Morzine centre or at Ardent lift.  There are numerous ski hire shops in Morzine and Montriond where equipment can be rented.


Morzine offers skiing and snowboarding for all ages and abilities, from the easy nursery slopes in Morzine to the black Prodain World Cup downhill run.





Morzine is a beautiful area to visit in the summer months. There is endless walking either in the valley or on the hills and mountains. Morzine is an excellent base for exploring the Lake Geneva region, Chamonix, Mont Blanc and neighbouring Switzerland, all of which are within a 60-minute drive.


Popular local activities include: summer toboggan run, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, equestrian centre, indoor ice rink, two golf courses, white water rafting, paragliding, Lake Montriond for walking, swimming and sunbathing.


There are over 300km of marked footpaths and 110km of marked mountain bike tracks. The lifts operate from late June to enable you and your bike to be taken to the top of the mountain with the minimum of effort. Mountain bikes can be hired daily or weekly from most of the sports shops in Morzine.


The Multi-pass scheme gives access to the lifts, tennis courts, ice rink and shuttle buses for just €1 per person per day. The Multi-pass Premium is €2 a day which also gives access to the Morzine indoor and outdoor swimming pool complexes.
